GALLERY SALES MANAGER
The position services both our nationally recognized exhibit gallery and our supply store servicing 400+ ceramic artists between Santa Fe and southern Colorado. Successful candidates will possess an outgoing personality, excellent communication skills, and have the ability to lift a 50lb box of clay to assist some customers. A passion for the arts is helpful and knowledge of the ceramic arts is ideal though not essential. Basic math is a must and knowledge of the Square POS system is helpful. The position is Wednesday thru Saturday (10-5) Sunday (noon-4), a total of 32 hours/wk with compensation starting at $25/hr plus commission; 10 days PTO/yr, gallery discount, and TCC membership after 4 months. STUDIO MANAGER
This is a new, 5-day (4-9pm), 25 hour/wk position at the TCC. The successful candidate will possess a solid knowledge of the ceramics process including a strong familiarity with the operation of electric and gas kilns, clay puggers, pottery wheels, and all the other tools that are regularly found in a clay studio. TCC will be looking to you to keep the work process flowing including the loading and unloading of kilns, basic equipment maintenance when required, general maintenance of the studio, and managing the reclaim process. This position requires an individual in good physical condition able to lift at least 50 pounds, someone who is patient, detail oriented, and people friendly. Compensation will be commensurate with your experience and include studio membership, discounts on clay, and deep discounts on firings. INTERN
Great opportunity for an individual who desires a wonderful studio environment and better-than-studio membership essentially for free. The Taos Ceramics Center is looking for an individual in good physical condition (must be able to lift 50 lbs) to help us with our regular studio maintenance, pugging, some stocking, and possible glaze maintenance. Applicants must have a basic background in ceramics and be willing to work evenings. In exchange, you will have wide-access to our well-equipped studio, receive 50% reduction in firing fees, 10% on clay, and reduced fees if desiring to use TCC glazes. Depending on your skill level, there is the possibility of other opportunities at the Center that are paid.
