CLASSES
Taos Ceramics Center will provide a variety of classes, ranging from 4-hour workshops to 8-week courses, beginner to advanced.
GET FIRED UP!
Great for beginners and groups!
These hands-on classes will offer those with no prior experience in ceramics the opportunity to experience it all. Students will choose a pot from a selection of those made by our resident artists, glaze and then fire them in a Raku kiln. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to get your hands into some mud and throw your first pots on a potter's wheel. Then you'll get to share in the excitement of seeing your fired piece revealed and taking home a treasure!
CHILDREN'S CERAMICS CLASS
Play 'n Make
Our children's Ceramics Classes will focus on creativity and exploring the endless possibilities of clay. Each student will have the opportunity to learn the basics of handbuilding—coiling, pinching, slab construction and sculpting—and what goes into making bowls, mugs, containers, and sculptural art pieces. Our primary goal is fun, discovery, and new- found confidence!
ADULT CLASSES
8 Week Courses
Whether you're a beginner or advanced student, you can find a class to fit your interests taught by those with great experience in the ceramic arts. Classes will include access to the community studio and equipment.
