Ekin Balcıoğlu is an accomplished visual artist, editor, and curator, immersed in the world of creativity for nearly 15 years. As the Co-founder and Editor-in-Chief of Hamam Magazine, a globally recognized print periodical devoted to the art of bathing, Ekin has seamlessly combined her artistic vision with her passion for tactile experiences. Hamam's exceptional design and innovative content garnered prestigious awards, including the 2021 Best Periodical Design by GMK Turkey and the 2020 Editorial Design Achievement Award.
Originally hailing from Izmir, Turkey, Ekin now finds her artistic sanctuary in Taos, New Mexico, USA. Her journey began with a BA (Honors) from Central Saint Martins in 2013, followed by a dual degree MA/MFA from the California College of the Arts, specializing in Visual and Critical Studies and Fine Arts in 2016. Ekin's artistic footprint stretches across international landscapes, with solo and group exhibitions gracing prestigious galleries in New York, San Francisco Bay Area, London, Istanbul, Izmir, Ankara, and Sofia.
