GEORGIA EPSTEIN

A Connecticut native, Georgia spent much of her adult life in the Boston area before moving to Arroyo Hondo, NM in 2013 with her husband and two daughters. In Boston, Georgia worked as a marketing director by day and maintained a close relationship to the natural world as a Registered Maine Guide, having developed a passion for rafting the wild rivers of northern Maine. It was through this avocation that she ultimately traveled to the Southwest and discovered Taos. A few years after moving to New Mexico, Georgia started to explore ceramics and studied for two years with Lee Akins at UNM Taos. Georgia is most interested in atmospheric firings including wood, pit, saggar, and raku. Georgia is proud to be among the founding members of Taos Ceramics Center and is dedicated to its long-term success as a community studio, gallery, and educational resource.
